From Lula's Diary
First Days
Lula familiarized herself with the new surrounding very fast. Her favorite place is the terrace, where she has her bedding. She just loves to lie on the soft sheep leather. After a few days of exploration of the new environment, Lula had finally acclimatized. Sometimes she romps around with great energy, and her favorite play is "fighting" with the sheep leather she lies on.
When her Lady bustles around in the kitchen, Lula sits down and watches her with curiosity. She also likes when all the family members seat themselves on the couch; then she lies down on someone's lap and gets a nap.
During the free May days we took Lula to Kaszuby. It was the first such a long journey in her life, but she endured the five-hour car trip very well, sleeping through the most part of it, between the seats. Not surprisingly, she created a sensation in one of the heritage parks that we visited. She behaved very boldly, and she wasn't afraid of either passing cars or loud sounds. At some point, however, she got so much tired of walking that she sat down and refused to march any further. This is a very well known kind of behavior among mastiffs...

Lula - August, 2006
September 2006
Lula has begun her education in a puppy school. She's making progress, lesson by lesson. Her clever plan to dominate her Lady comprises doing everything but what her Lady demands. Naturally, beginnings are always difficult.
Upon arriving to the meadow, she friendly welcomes all the puppies that take part in the lessons. Robert - the coach - calls us to a circle, and thus the lesson begins...
In the middle of the lesson, Lula ceases to fight with the leash, and starts to obey the commands: sit down, stay, guard. After three hours of learning, the Lady has had enough, probably much more than Lula too. They both are quite exhausted, and take a rest: the Lady on the sofa, Lula on her blanket.
One day, when the Lady just came back from work, Lula welcomed her cheerfully, standing in the very middle of the driveway. The Lady was also welcomed by the yard, covered entirely with sponge torn out of some old pillows. Lula emanated with happiness in the midst of this mess, glad that the Lady had came back home at last.
